When God’s ‘Yes” is Enough: Walking Boldly without Permission

by Dr. Vanda

What if the only permission you need has already been given?

For many women, the greatest obstacle standing between where they are and where God is calling them is not a lack of ability. It is the fear of needing someone else’s approval. We wait for the invitation, the recognition, the applause, or the confirmation that says we are ready.

But what if God has already spoken? What if His “yes” is the only validation required?

There comes a moment in every woman’s journey when she must decide whether she will continue seeking permission from people or start walking confidently in the purpose God has placed within her. God created you with intention, purpose, and divine assignment. Before anyone celebrated, criticized, underestimated, or attempted to define you, God already knew you. Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV) declares, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart.”

Your purpose was established before public opinion had a chance to speak. Your calling does not become valid when others recognize it; it is valuable because God designed it. Unfortunately, many women have learned to shrink themselves, silence their voices, downplay their gifts, and hesitate to pursue their dreams because of the fear of rejection or judgment. But God never called us to live confined by fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) reminds us, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” It is your confidence and faith to move forward, knowing that God is with you every step of your journey.

In addition, there is freedom in no longer seeking approval from people. You must walk boldly and stand firmly in your God-given identity while remaining humble and obedient to His direction. There is freedom in releasing the pressure to convince people of what God has placed inside of you. Not everyone will understand your vision, celebrate your growth, or recognize your transformation. And that is okay. God’s assignment for your life was never dependent on everyone’s agreement.

Furthermore, look at the women throughout Scripture who moved forward because God’s “yes” was enough. Esther stepped into courage when her people needed her. Deborah embraced leadership when others needed her wisdom. Mary accepted a divine assignment that changed history because she trusted God’s plan.

Lastly, your liberation begins when you realize that God’s “yes” has always been enough. You are allowed to grow, evolve, and step into new places of influence, leadership, creativity, and purpose. The world does not need a smaller version of you. It needs the woman God created you to be.
