For the Love (And Hate) of Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice Latte

It’s the end of September and that means it’s Fall and Christmas simultaneously! Or at least in many retailers, you may see Halloween decor as well as Christmas trees already. One of the most popular beverage items you might see now is the PSL, better known as the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Some love it and some leave it. So whichever you prefer, here are two drink recipes to try at home:

love it? ingredients for your pumpkin spice latte

  • 8-10 oz of coffee

  • ¼ of a cup of milk of your choice

  • 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons of pumpkin pie syrup

  • Ice — if you prefer iced coffee

  • Milk frother

leave it? ingredients for a tasty tea alternative

  • 8-10 oz of brewed Chai tea

  • ¼ of a cup of milk of your choice

  • 2 tablespoons peppermint syrup

  • Ice — if you prefer iced tea

  • Milk frother

After you have brewed your coffee or tea, select your mug and add your pumpkin pie syrup

Pour your coffee or tea over the syrup.

Next, add your milk of choice to a small glass and microwave for 30 seconds and add the pumpkin pie seasoning.

Then use your milk frother to froth your milk for 30 seconds. It should double in size and have a fluffy consistency. Slowly pour or spoon frothed milk on top of your coffee and gently stir.

Finally, drizzle some pumpkin pie syrup on top.
