Everyday Grace: How to Find Joy in the Small Moments

What if joy isn’t something you chase, but something you notice? In a world that tells you to always be doing more, grace whispers, “Just be here.”

You don’t have to wait for the big wins to feel joy. Every day offers small moments that whisper grace — if you pause long enough to notice them. It might be the warmth of your morning coffee, a song that stirs your spirit, or the quiet satisfaction of crossing something off your list. Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything is fine, it’s about allowing joy to coexist with uncertainty.

Poet Morgan Harper Nichols writes, “Perhaps this is the moment for which you’ve been created — to feel everything and still choose grace.” Choosing gratitude, even in the smallest ways, invites healing. It turns ordinary days into sacred pauses.

Try starting each morning by naming one thing you’re thankful for before reaching for your phone. At night, reflect on one moment that made you smile. These small rituals anchor you in presence and peace, reminding you that you already have enough, and they are something I’m intentionally incorporating into my own life.

Cultural curator Alex Elle says, “Gratitude helps us fall in love with the life we already have.” That’s the heart of everyday grace, an invitation to live your Dream Lifestyle™ not someday, but now.

Timely isn’t it? For November’s season of reflection, when you crave stillness before the holidays. Yet timeless because finding grace in daily life is a practice that transcends seasons, it’s the art of choosing joy, again and again.
