Meet Taren Kinebrew, a best-selling author, inspirational speaker, and owner of Sweet Petit Desserts and Cream + Sugar Coffeehouse.

Taren is the Founder & CEO of Sweet Petit Desserts, an award-winning bakery located in Cincinnati, OH. Combining her 10+ years of corporate business experience with her love for baking, she successfully opened the doors in 2008.

In 2020, Taren became acutely aware of the lack of African American entrepreneurship in her childhood hometown of Evanston. To initiate change, Taren and her long-time friend launched the Cream + Sugar Coffeehouse. The cozy shop was founded with the vision of shifting the business landscape of African American communities to spread love and inclusion, inspire creativity, and enhance the business district.

As a third generation baker herself, Taren is passionate about pouring into the youth through not only her entrepreneurial-centered Junior Baking Series, but also her own leadership and demonstration of what’s possible.

As seen in her best-selling book, Dear Fear, Volume 2 and inspiring keynote speeches, Taren is always striving to empower women entrepreneurs around the world to push past their FEAR and live their best lives.

Do you have a personal quote or life's motto you live by?

“Doing more by doing less”.  I say this because health is my main focus right now, which means my work has to be more meaningful and intentional so I do not overwork myself.

What inspires you?

Living in the moment and spending time with others who inspire me, and who I can inspire. I value my time and have reached a point in my life that doing what is important to me is truly my inspiration.

A fun fact about yourself:

I really enjoy dining out, talking to the staff and getting to know them. This, of course, can't really happen unless I am sitting at a bar dining.
