Springing into Style: Trends to Look Out for This Season

In the everchanging world of fashion, it can be difficult to keep up with the newest and hottest trends. It seems like there’s a new “it-girl” look every week. But fear not, we’re here to give you an inside scoop on what will be all the rage this upcoming Spring season, and how you can snag these styles without breaking the bank!

COLORS

The most sought-after colors for the upcoming months are probably already hiding in your closet. With an emphasis on typical Spring pastels, we will also see a plethora of darker tones. Per WGSN, the color of the year is “Apricot Crush,” a warm orange hue guaranteed to show that you glow just as much on the outside as you do on the inside. Reds and burgundies are hot right now, too, and they add a daring flair to any outfit. Trend forecasting agencies like Fashion Snoops and Cotton Incorporated project that much focus will be placed on neutrals like browns, charcoals, whites, and grays. However, pops of color can be added to your wardrobe through lilacs, elemental blues, and orchid pink tones. You don’t have to keep it all bright as shades of navy blues, plum purples, and dusky greens are also in high demand!

SILHOUETTES

From oversized blazers to wide-legged pants, looser and relaxed silhouettes are totally in right now. With this fit, it’s easy to be comfortable and stylish simultaneously. Moreover, the strong silhouettes from the power dressing era of the 80s are back. With sharp, padded blazers and leather coats, you can feel just as powerful as you look! Mixing and matching silhouettes is in vogue, too, so combining your wide-legged bottoms with a fitted top (or vice versa) is an amazing way to get the most out of your wardrobe, and off-the-shoulder knits and asymmetrical tops are another great way to stay fashionable.

 LOOKS

As for looks, preppy is in! The “office siren” trend is everywhere from the runway to your own office cubicles. Featuring pencil skirts, fitted blouses, and blazers, the style is a staple for everyone. Wearing these pieces in silk, sheer, or leather will ensure that you’re on top of the trends. As seen with the looks above, business casual apparel is climbing up the charts, and its versatility makes it easy to dress up or down. Flowy, high-waisted trousers are the perfect piece to achieve this look, and the style looks fantastic on everyone! Patent leather Mary Janes or kitten heels pair beautifully with this style and give added elegance, and when it comes to denim, cargo pockets add practicality and a modern touch to your look.

With all of these easy-to-follow trends, this spring season is sure to be a fun and fashionable one. The best part? You probably already have these pieces in your closet! So, enter spring in style, and make sure you do it your own way.
