It’s Not Impossible: Impossible Things are Happening Every Day

When my daughters were little girls in elementary school, some Sundays were reserved for ‘hair day’. We would wash and dry before styling their hair into box braids. It would usually take two hours. In the era of VCRs, we would watch the Disney movies or other child-appropriate movies. Their favorite ‘hair day’ movie was Disney’s Cinderella, featuring Whitney Houston and Brandy.

The theme song in the movie is Impossible. It starts with lyrics about impossible events and challenging situations.

Impossible

For a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage

Impossible

For a plain country bumpkin and a prince to join in marriage

A slipper made of glass is just a shoe

And dreamers never make a dream come true

Impossible

But then the song transitions to possibilities.

It's possible

For a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage

It's possible

For a plain country bumpkin and a prince to join in marriage

Keep building up impossible hopes

Impossible things are happening everyday.

Believing in possibilities opens your world to positive and empowering outcomes. I’m not referring to fairy tales, but real life. The possibilities in your life can go from a dream into reality, from a wish to the truth, but you need to have an open mind and embrace the possibilities.

SHIFTING YOUR MINDSET TO A POSSIBILITIES MINDSET

Shifting your mindset from thinking that situations can’t change to the belief that things can change and people are capable of improving is where you begin to transition your mindset. Open your mind to developing a possibilities mindset that focuses on believing in the potential for positive outcomes and exploring solutions rather than dwelling on limitations.

It is internal and intentional. You must cultivate a belief that challenges can be overcome and that new opportunities exist, even in dark times. A possibilities mindset can lead to increased productivity, enhanced performance, and the emergence of new possibilities.

Applying the positivity mindset shift to your life begins with believing the impossible is really possible. It can be a major shift in how you approach situations and allow the possibilities and dreams to become a major area of focus.

You can experience positive outcomes in specific ways that impact your life. If you want to improve your career situation, getting a certificate can expand your career opportunities. If you want to improve your health, adding exercise to your life can lead to better health and an emotional uplift from endorphins. If you’re tired of wearing the clothes in your closet, maybe it’s time for makeover. Add something new to your wardrobe, change your hairstyle, or wear different color lipstick. These changes may seem small, but they can make you feel great and be the steps that lead to major changes and elevate your possibilities mindset.

SLAYING THE NEGATIVITY DRAGON

Setbacks, disappointments, and rejection are powerful because it can affect how you think and cope. Yes, we have all had painful, mind-blowing experiences that makes us sleepless or holds us captive in bed. Sometimes, you don’t want to face the monsters in your life because you feel hopeless and helpless. You start to see the world through a kaleidoscope of negativity.

That’s when you fight and recharge your life. You have probably used a computer that was frustrating. Computer technicians usually suggest that you press the restart button. Similarly, you have to press the restart button in your mind.

Coping with “life is lifeing” moments requires endless hope and high emotional energy that involves two steps. First, you have to translate your dreams into goals that are personally meaningful and inspire you to feel passionately dedicated and enthusiastically committed to achieving them. Second, you have to feel confident that you can accomplish your dreams and goals. Transforming negative thoughts into positivity can be a bridge to a mindset where positive seeds of hope and resilience blossom inside of you. When the seeds truly blossom, you’re empowered in new ways and have an internal mindset of impossible things are happening every day.

EMBRACING THE POWER OF POSSIBILITY

The benefits of a possibility’s mindset requires intention and commitment. Positivity is the foundation for empowering possibility. Staying positive will help you avoid worries and negative thoughts that can derail how you activate the road to possibility.

Possibility thinking allows you to move beyond perceived limitations and notice a wider range of options and solutions. You take a proactive approach to problem-solving and actively look for possibilities rather than being paralyzed by obstacles.

When you focus on potential, possibility thinking cultivates a positive and optimistic outlook. This positive energy can be contagious, boosting motivation, and create a more resilient mindset.

Positivity is a strong foundation for empowering possibility. When possibilities and positivity are intertwined, you remain motivated, even during tough times. You realize your power, make bold moves, and activate the courage to dream again. Yes, never stop dreaming. Possibilities can embolden you to step out of your comfort zone and do something different and bold — and phenomenal.
