A Sacred Blueprint: My Experience at the CeCe Winans "Come Worship!" Tour

Attending the CeCe Winans Come Worship! Tour stop in Orlando at the Addition Financial Arena on UCF College Campus was far more than an evening of incredible music; it was an intentional, unforgettable masterclass in Kingdom ministry.

My husband and I initially set out for a much-needed, beautiful date night over some good food but when you pair a romantic evening out with an atmosphere soaked in pure faith, it elevates the entire experience into something truly spectacular. The evening beautifully unfolded through three powerful elements: Celebration, Collaboration, and Creation.

The atmosphere shifted the moment the night began. True icons don’t dim others to shine brighter, they pull others into the light. CeCe modeled rare humility and secure leadership by dedicating individual sets to her guest ministers: the powerhouse vocals of Terrian, the pure acoustic worship of Charity Gayle, and the dynamic presence of Red Worship. Each artist had the space to release their own unique mantle, shifting the arena from a standard concert venue into a unified sanctuary. I was new to Terrian and Charity Gayle, but after their performances I am truly a fan of them both and can't wait to learn more about them. I am already looking up tickets to see Red Worship in concert this coming April. I have been a fan and have their songs on repeat.

The climax of the evening was an absolute move of God. During the "Creation" segment, CeCe paused to champion a kingdom cause, prayed with authority, and unapologetically ushered thousands into a beautiful moment of salvation and rededication. Standing there, she delivered a revolutionary truth that completely leveled the room: "Praise is not a white thing or a black thing, but it’s a Christ thing!"

Special Highlights of the Night

  • Generational Stage Sharing: Watching a legendary matriarch step back and give full platform authority to the next generation of worship leaders. She also performed two duets with both Terrian and Charity Gayle.

  • An Unapologetic Altar Call: The powerful spiritual pivot where entertainment stopped, heads bowed, and thousands of lives were actively surrendered to Christ. And just like that the arena turned into an altar. I was moved and so inspired by not only her artistry but her anointing she so elegantly carries. We should never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • The Powerhouse Finale: The breathtaking moment when all the ministers returned to the stage together, blending their diverse sounds into a massive corporate roar of praise with CeCe’s high-energy anthem "That's My King" and a deeply moving reprise of "Worthy of It All." The confetti shot out from the stage and fell over our heads as we stood on the floor right by the stage. We had the best seats in the arena. I have never seen a show done to this magnitude and musical perfection. I was moved and inspired by CeCe and her love of celebration, collaboration, and creation.

  • Full-Circle Highlight: Meeting CeCe Winans Backstage

The absolute pinnacle of the night was meeting CeCe backstage — a full-circle moment 26 years in the making. I first saw her perform live when she opened for the Billy Graham Crusade in May 2000, and getting to tell her how her anointed ministry has shaped my life was unforgettable. She embraced me with a warm hug and shared a beautiful backstory: years ago, her husband asked for her ultimate bucket-list goal. Her answer was simply, "I want to work with Billy Graham." Remarkably, just two days later, the call came to join his tour. Meeting her proved she is exactly who I always knew she’d be radiant, humble, and deeply gracious.
